After being picked up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, where you will have a lunch break. Then, you will continue your journey to the oasis of Agdz and drive through the Draa Valley, where several rivers converge to create a majestic landscape. Along the way, you will be able to admire small fortified kasbahs.
Upon reaching Zagora, you will join your camel caravan for a one-hour ride through the magnificent dunes. Once you arrive at the campsite in the heart of the Sahara, you will have time to settle into your Saharan tent and bask in the vastness of the untamed nature stretching as far as the eye can see. Dinner will be delicious and can be enjoyed under the starry sky. The atmosphere will be lively with local nomads inviting you to sing along with them to the beat of drums, creating an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Zagora Desert.
Wake up early in the morning and be mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of a sunrise in the Zagora Desert. It’s truly an unforgettable moment! After enjoying your breakfast, head towards the camel caravan to begin the return journey and meet your minibus. You will resume the road towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed kasbah. This remarkable structure is renowned among filmmakers worldwide, as it has been featured in numerous American films and series, such as Game of Thrones, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, The Mummy, and many more. You will have free time to have lunch, grab a coffee, and purchase some souvenirs. Afterwards, you will continue your journey back to Marrakech, where you should arrive around 7:00 PM, concluding this incredible excursion.
